6th Annual Wine & Roses for Cystic Fibrosis
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will host Wine & Roses for Cystic Fibrosis presented by The Lighthouse
Group Insurance and Title, October 16, 2009 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Hilton Grand Rapids-Airport. Wine & Rose is one of the chapter’s largest fundraiser and this year’s event looks to raise more funds than
in any year past.
From wine novice to advanced enthusiasts Wine and Roses for Cystic Fibrosis is a casual and fun evening
for all experience levels. The event will be a relaxed yet lively evening. Join 200+ expected
guests sipping wines poured by local media celebrities, food pairings from local restaurants, enjoy
shopping the marketplace and bidding on both live and silent auctions. And the night doesn't end
there.

your magnifying glass and prepare to spend the evening solving
a mystery. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is hosting their
second annual Murder Mystery Fundraiser.
Join us the night before Halloween for MURDER AT THE MASQUERADE...
a murder masked in comedy It’s the night before
Halloween and the party was to die for. When the clock strikes
murder which guest is disguised as a killer? It will be your job
to play the part of Detective in this interactive, comedymystery
that's sure to be a scream.
Event participants will enjoy social and networking time, a
theatre performance, dinner and auction featuring masks created
by local artists.
Costumes/Masquerade masks are encouraged but optional.
Individual tickets are $65.00 or $110.00 for a couple. Corporate

How May Steps Would You Take for a CURE?
Join The Grand Rapids Police Department, The Grand Rapids
Fire Department, Puddin from WSNX 104.5 fm and many
others as we climb 565 Steps, 22 Floors, to reach 1 Goal—a
cure for cystic fibrosis.
The Inaugural Climb for a Cure will be held Saturday November
7, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at the BRIDGEWATER PLACE (free
parking) in downtown Grand Rapids. This challenge with
over 500 steps, promises to be an amazing event for competitive
and non-competitive climbers alike. Whether you
form your own team or climb on your own, each step you
conquer will bring us closer to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.

2009 St. Joseph Great Strides Walk a Tremedous Success!
 Great Strides — A Walk to Cure CF is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fund-raising event. 2009 marked the 21st anniversary of the event, which is held throughout the country on various weekends in May. It's purpose is to raise money to support innovative research and care programs dedicated to adding tomorrows every day to the lives of those with cystic fibrosis. The 2009 Great Strides Walk in St. Joseph was held at Riverview Park on May 17th. Money is still coming in, but the St. Joseph event has already raised $17,363.
